Plum and cinnamon - this duo has long been known in the art of baking, because the combination is simply almost comfortably delicious and tastes like winter evenings, candlelight and mulled wine. So it was high time for us to bring them together with our Elisen Lebkuchen. The result is the Lebkuchen of the Year 2020: Elise Plum-Cinnamon! The sweetness of the fruit combines excellently with the slightly tart taste of cinnamon, the many nuts and almonds in the dough round off the experience. The chocolate glaze is the icing on the cake – but try it yourself!
Our trio pack offers enough supplies for the winter evenings just described, and if you like, you even have the possibility to give a pack spontaneously to a plum fan.
Did you know that the plum was brought to Europe by Alexander the Great? Charlemagne, on the other hand, was the one who ensured that the delicious fruit became native to Central Europe. Plums – also used synonymously with plum in southern Germany – are a subspecies of the plum, just like mirabelle plums for example.
