Volkacher Ratsherr Silvaner - this is pure fruity pleasure captured within a bottle. With low acidity and a gentle peach aroma typical of this grape variety we can ensure only the most exquisite of wine. A perfect wine that can be served almost anytime.
The Silvaner vine originates from Austria and is a cross between one of the oldest vines in the world, Traminer, and the variety "Austrian White". It was probably brought to Franconia by Cistercian monks in the 17th century and developed here from an imported wine to one of the most famous Franconian wines ever.
Our high-quality Silvaner comes from the vineyard Volkacher Ratsherr at the riverside of the Mainschleife and carries the predicate of German quality wine.
We suggest pairing Silvaner with fish and meat dishes as well as seafood, poultry and many vegetarian dishes with light sauces. It is also perfect as a companion to cheese, and of course as an everyday wine on an evening with friends.
