Along with the early bloomers, butterflies are the first harbingers of spring. Probably the most beautiful insects, but certainly the most biodiverse. There are over 160,000 identified species on every continent, with the exception of Antarctica, and 3,700 species can be found in Germany. So it makes sense that Lebkuchen-Schmidt´s new cup is decorated with the delicate dipteran, one yellow and one blue.
