Butter shortbread is one of the classics in the bakery, in every season. Although the recipe for this pastry is not particularly complicated, it is one of the more exquisite baked products, especially as, like with us at Lebkuchen-Schmidt, only the finest ingredients are used. Only then does the pastry unfold its delicious buttery flavour and melt in your mouth in a delicious way. For our Butter Shortbread, we have come up with another special feature: the base made of delicious whole-milk chocolate, which gives the total work of art a creamy note.
If you unpack the pastry, but it is not eaten completely, you can keep it fresh in a biscuit tin for several weeks. However, because of the high butter content, we recommend eating it very quickly (we honestly do not believe that there will be anything left once the pack is open...)
